We almost had the same ceramic coat hooks at home in France where we grew up...and what we like about them, besides their timeless appeal and little price, is that they look equally stylish in contemporary interiors than in a country-style home.
The French ceramic coat hooks from our childhood were by our entrance door, hidden under piles of coats and scarves but we think it is time to make a style statement and display 2 or 3 of them in the bathroom, a bedroom or nursery.
