The Design work of Stephen Crowhurst

Stephen Crowhurst is a surface and pattern designer living in Toronto, Canada. He recently sent me a link to his site Hello Hello (cool name). I really like his style…. Creating unique and life inspiring pieces, Stephen works on a wide range of freelance commissions while at the same time creating his own line of fabric prints and other interior products. http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs

Trendy eco chic accessories for kids

I just received an email from Shelly about this sweet, eco-friendly range of cardboard furniture for children designed by Green LullabyI like the idea that kids can customize their own furniture and develop their sense of creativity. It’s quite cute and at least when the kids grow out of it, you can just dispose of it and be good to the Earth at the same time.Via Erayo http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs

Great review in EASY LIVING

We have a great review in Easy Living this month… ‘It’s three years since French sisters Karine and Elodie set up online boutique BODIE and FOU. An Easy Living favourite, its cyber shelves are filled with the most covetable items, from pretty framed prints to elegant practical items, such as this silver ceramic vase.’ Sadly the silver vase is now sold out but the Aqua vase is still available and of course the striking Grass vases (below) by Normann Copenhagen which are still flying off the shelves… http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs

Our French home in Grand Designs magazine

Flying back from France yesterday, I picked up a copy of Grand Designs magazine at the airport and there it was, running on 7 pages, the Grand Designs Master feature featuring our holiday home in France. We are all very happy and proud mothers I can tell you and it is such a great coverage for our little business, I can’t thank enough the team at Grand Designs, Nonie Niesewant for her wonderful article and Chris Tubbs for his amazing pictures, kindness and generosity so here are the article. SISTER ACT Karine Köng and her sister are real connoisseurs of chic, so their interiors website BODIE and FOU is an essential stop-off for style lovers everywhere. ‘Chic‘ is a tricky concept: hard to define but easy to spot. It’s less assertive than the wow factor and it’s certainly not bling – more the new Mrs Sarkozy meeting the Queen. Though it’s openly flaunted on the catwalk in France, chic is equally at home behind closed doors in fashionable interiors. So when thirtysomething French sisters Elodie and …

This is me…..

Our bird pegs as wedding accessory

Last May I blogged about Diane, one of our US customers who had ordered several boxes of our bird clothes pegs for her daughter’s wedding. They were planning to use them to hold table place cards on a line for guests. Our team thought it was a great idea but Diane has just sent us some pics from the wedding, and the result is truly fantastic! Guest names were beautifully written on cards with their seating at the back and hang onto a line for them to pick.We wish the newly weds all the happiness in the world.(c)Pictures are courtesy of Diane Powell http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs
