Life with Mila | The Tooth Fairy

Sadly Mila and I had to rush to France yesterday to see my 95 years old mamie (she is the hot chick on the left hand side and my mum is the one in the middle sporting the bathing suit with spots – I love this photo). It’s a sad time but I wanted to be there to tell her what a wonderful grandmother she had been to me before it was too late.

Mila’s little bedroom revamp…

A few weeks, Mila asked for more pink in her bedroom so I decided to add soft touches to her room by painting her old white desk and chair.

The BODIE and FOU Autumn catalogue has landed

Wow…it has been very busy today!I was planning to show you Mila’s bedroom update but I will do it over the weekend.Between our VIP Enews that went out yesterday and our BODIE and FOU Autumn catalogue* that landed on our customers’ doorsteps today, it has been totally mad!We have packed so many order for our beautiful linen collection to send all over the place, it’s insane! but it makes me really really happy because its success means that we will be able to have more colours in our Spring/Summer collection.I already have the styling in mind and I can’t wait to start working on a few kids rooms (watch out for the Spring/Summer 2013 catalogue!)Last but but not least (bear with me…this is my “Award-winning” kind of thank you speech…), I would also like to thank from the bottom of my heart, our hard-working, passionate and dedicated little team especially Sophie who masters catalogue production & deadlines like no-one, Francois for his amazing photos and Doryan who recently joined us and has been very busy with the new collection and …

The Gaivota rocking chair

The Gaivota rocking chair

Since Mila was not in the mood for modelling, I asked Lucas, our Australian Shepherd to model next to the Gaivota rocking chair and with a few treats from Pooch and Mutt, he kindly obliged :-) Designed by Renaud Bonzon, the Gaivota rocking chair, is one of the most rewarded pieces of furniture in Brazil and was selected in 1990 to represent Brazil at the Biennial of Design in São Paulo. Very comfortable, the Gaivota rocking chair is appreciated for its ergonomics and perfect proportions. The curved forms of both seat and back were defined by Reno Bonzon, after he sat in deep snow during a stay in French Alps and noticed his body print. Keeping ergonomics in mind, Reno wanted to reproduce this confortable form and paid special attention to both dimensions and balance, making the Gaivota rocking chair very confortable whatever the size of the person may be. For the sake of environment, Bonzon chose plywood to make the chair but the manufacturing process also allowed him to create large curves which he took advantages from, and introduced movement in …

Sunday Market by Aurelie Lecuyer

I’ve always loved the styling and the home of Aurelie Lecuyer. It’s simple, fresh and it has a happy feel. All these fabrics and colours mixed together is really uplifting, don’t you think?I have to admit Aurelie’s room is the only one that (almost!!) makes me regret to have painted one of Mila’s wall in dark grey :-)Aurelie is a freelance stylist but she recently launched Sunday Market with her friend Anne Millet who is behind the blog Mymobilehome. I love it!Let me know what you think. It’s nice to read your comments…Someone kindly reminded me yesterday I had promised to share my chocolate coconut brownie after the Summer so I will try to do this for you next weekend. Have a lovely Sunday http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs

Gossip girl afternoon

Despite a lovely start of the day having pancakes for breakfast with Mila, I have been feeling under the weather this afternoon. Maybe I’m coming up with something. So… true to my post on Friday, I spent the afternoon on the sofa, the fire on, catching up on Gossip Girl. Sometimes, spending the day catching up girly movies is just what we need :-)I love this photo. It reminds me of the style of photos taken during the Bianca Jagger years…They all look gorgeous. Hope you’re all well via Ms Waldorf http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs

My home in Scotland on Sunday

I almost feel ashamed posting this. We had had so much great press coverage lately, it’s absolutely insane and you are probably getting fed up seeing my face and my home all the time :-) I have finally received the pdf of the article featured in Scotland on Sunday and I love the photos taken by Debra Hurford Brown and I would especially like to thank Tessa Williams who contacted me for this article and who has been a real star!
