the jumpsuit | outfit perfection

Given how many jumpsuits I have in my wardrobe, I thought it was time to write about it!I don’t think I ever found anything so versatile. It’s feminine, practical, easy to accessorise and very sexy with the right shoes. © Horses Atelier The working mum in me, probably wears them a bit too often now (hence the required ownership of several) but frankly they go with everything! So here is a round up of my favourite models and shoes to go with it. Plain Jumpsuits1/ My latest acquisition is this jumpsuit in blue denim. I was actually trying something on at Scotch & Soda when Elodie emailed me a photo of the jumpsuits she was trying in Paris and I ended up ordering it online in the changing room. Big LOVE! The fabric is soft, light and I love the denim colour for the Summer. 2/ For a more stylish look, this black Shreela jumpsuit by Malene Birger is one of my fav. It looks very chic and will perfect with any of clutches I mentioned here.3/ This Elisa jersey jumpsuit by …

How to style your bedroom for the Summer in no time

As the lovely Kate from Katie & The Kids bought our Ikea bed of me on Instagram, I re-arranged a few things to freshen up the look of our bedroom and bring a Summer vibe into…Did you notice how changing/re-arranging just a few things can make you feel hugely better!? I feel I have a new bedroom…. Here are 6 tips to style up your bedroom for the Summer in no time. ✔️ Move things around: I do this regularly and it’s a great way to freshen up the look of your home at no extra cost. I swapped the white stool bought in Amsterdam a few years ago for this wooden stool which was in our lounge (this one is also a nice and a more affordable alternative). ✔️ Upgrade your bed linens with summery colours: In Summer time, I love using white & blue touches throughout the house. It reminds me of our holidays in our home in France by the Bay of Arcachon. As you know, I’m a big fan of stonewashed linens and since it’s my birthday on Sunday, I treated myself to this soft Summer …

WHITES 03 | 2014

Last night Mila asked me: “Maman can I live with you until I have a big house”…I swear I love her a lot more than to the moon and back. It’s little moments that like these that remind me that being a mum is still the most important thing ever, no matter how much I love what I do career wise…And I say I because it’s such a sensitive subject and a personal choice that don’t want to generalise, everyone is different but I know a lot of you are in the same boat and will understand what I mean.Do you keep notes of all the wonderful things your children say? // 1. A stunning white & concrete loft in Eindhoven

In the recent years, European lofts have been given New-York lofts quite a run for their money. The last family loft featured here was hugely inspiring, packed with beautiful details and an amazing chandelier from Anthropologie. Today, I’m taking you to Eindhoven to visit Jason’s beautiful loft. An amazing 87 sqm loft space with 4.60 m high walls which proved to be a bit challenging to paint.

Personal message from 3 kids to their wonderful mum

I think in our family, we are pretty good at telling each other how much we love or piss off each other but Elodie, François and I wanted to say thank you to the wonderful mum you are and for all the things that made a different to our lives and to the people we are now. My mum et moi à la plage, Lac de Maguide, August 1973. Elodie was born the year after Thank you for being a working mother and bringing up Elodie and I to be independent, self-sufficient women.Thank you for being strong. I know we used to fight a lot when I was a teenager but years later, when I realised that you became a mum at 21 and again at 26 and I had Mila at the age of 35, well.. it really put things into perspective for me…Thank you for being a lioness when we all needed you and for giving us the benefit of the doubt on some occasions.Thank you for being (as François put it…) the …

ZARA GREEN COAT + BOYFRIEND JEANS

Did you see this on Saturday? It really made me laugh… I mean, yeah it’s not all about shopping, etc (quoique…) but once in a while, it just feels good to go for it just because we want to!So I got myself this very bright green coat from Zara to wear with my boyfriend jeans and my black Bowie’s Suede Wedged trainers. I don’t think I ever bought anything so bright since Uni but I had actually seen someone trying it on, in a more conservative colour last weekend in Westfields and thought the cut was really good. It looked so good on her that I almost told her.Retrospectively I think I should have, because its always nice when someone pays you a compliment out of the blue…So when I saw it in green, I just thought…why not!!?  2014 feels good, really good. I have a huge amount of energy and like our pink door, this will be my happy coat for this Spring. What do you think? What’s the brightest piece of item you bought? Here are my favourite ‘green pieces’ …

Market Lane Coffee | Sydney

Sharing my life with a kiwi who rates his coffee very highly (I don’t drink coffee), we often brunch around London in nice coffee places like Artisan or The Grind. Both make great coffee and have very interesting interior design details (my life would be complete if they had both more gluten-free and green juices options). Market Lane, in Melbourne combines great coffee, great interior design & styling and cool branding… ✔️ Brick walls painted white or black like in the Vipp flagship store in Copenhagen always look great. ✔️ To make a blackboard for your kitchen, get a piece of medium cut from DIY places like B&Q (but check first if they have any left overs. I got a pretty large piece from left-overs for only £3) and get a pot of blackboard paint or even better this magnetic blackboard paint. ✔️ You can get Tolix industrial stools from John Lewis or this industrial metal stool from BODIE and FOU ✔️ Made of Sundays, a company in Helsinki has some cool wall stickers ✔️ The Shoreditch pendant light (currently 25% off) is very similar to the one above & below Market Lane is now located in …
