“Design Bloggers at Home” by Ellie Tennant

The lovely Ellie Tennant has released a new book Design Bloggers at Home: Fresh interiors inspiration from leading online trend-setters which features our home in London. Ellie’s debut title published by Ryland Peters & Small is one close to my heart, not because my home is in it, but because I feel that recently, things have finally shifted for bloggers (especially in Europe) and Ellie’s fabulous book is a testimonial to the amazing, creative online community of interiors bloggers out there and their very unique voice and style. In her book, Design Bloggers at Home, Ellie met up with fifteen bloggers from around the world and put together in-depth case studies to cover a very diverse and inspiring range of cutting-edge blogger’s spaces. I don’t include myself in this “cutting-edge” category because as much as I love our home, I’ve seen it enough and I feel a lot more inspired by looking at other people’s spaces. Ellie has covered some pretty amazing spaces from a pared-back monochrome cabin in Scandinavia to a colour-filled apartment in California (the front …

Priceless tips to get from Clemence Poesy’s hair & fashion style

Clemence Poesy is one of Parisian chic icons who manifests a unique unpolished beauty, a bohemian look. Get tips on how to dress like a French muse. http://www.adoreness.com/the-parisian-muse-get-some-tips-from-clemence-poesy/ I spend a fair amount of time on Pinterest (for work of course!) and once in a while, I see something and think…WOW! 20 useful, must-know tips to look after your linens & other favourite pieces of clothing

This is a post dedicated to my sister Elodie (who you know I adore) and to anyone who has wrecked some of their beloved pieces in the washing-machine. Before going skiing last month, I attended the launch of the new Miele W1 washing-machine which was quite something and very interesting, considering we are talking about the launch of a washing-machine…So on the back of this and with Miele‘s help, I’ve put together a few tips and reminders to help you to make the clothes and bed linens you love last.Miele may not be cheapest brand on the market but it is one that will last you a lifetime and I learnt at the launch that it is still a family business ❤️. Their new W1 laundry range has some amazing features (read here) and it’s like SMEG or the Vipp kitchen (see my post here), if you can…get the best you can afford. And of course the big question is….Do you really know your labels? To be honest, there were quite a few I had no idea what they meant so I’ve asked Miele to send …

A SOOTHING, MODERN COUNTRY STYLE HOME

A soothing, modern country style home

François recently moved in a new flat and I was very surprised to see that a lot of rentals are still painted in Magnolia (what the heck?) It was already the case when I moved to London 18 years ago and even back then, I didn’t get Landlords’ obsession for Magnolia when whites, taupes and greys look so much better, soothing, modern and contemporary. So here is my personal plead to UK Landlords: Pleaaase….let go of this colour. It does NOT look good and NO it doesn’t make the place looks warmer! Let me show you what I mean by sharing with you these photos of Paul Massey‘s latest home renovation project (his thirteenth) in Primrose Hill, North London. Using a muted palette on the walls and painting the floorboards and ceiling in white to make the room seem brighter and larger, Paul Massey has created a beautiful, soothing and calming home. John Lewis has a selection of large, plain rugs and I very much love this Flokati rug and this Darwin rug, both look …

KIDS: Too Cool For School…

Mila inspired this post this morning…She went to school dressed up as an angel for Mardi Gras and she looked very cool. How was your child dressed up today? When I see kids nowadays, I realised how seriously uncool I was back then ;-) Here is a roundup of my favourite ones… 1. Le Dans La inspired by Udder 2. Themis by Ganaelle 3. Ashley, Grace and Romeo 4. Cissy by Michelle Marshall 5 . Limi and Claya by Dee
