5 EFFORTLESS HAIRDOS FOR THE BEACH

My hair is naturally wavy which is a blessing on holidays not so much the rest of the year when I’m after a sleeker look. Mila on the other hand, who incidentally told me that… she wanted to have “Live to sing” tattooed in her arm and change her hair to have it option1) dyed in blue or option 2) have it long on one side and shaved on the other side (she is 9…)…has perfect beach hair.As perfect and beautiful her hair is, between salt, sun, wind, it gets tangled easily so here are 5 of my favourite and effortless hairdos for the beach to keep yours and your daughter’s hair under control If you misssed it, check out my post about 5 messy buns here. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.Sharing is caring ❤️ Leave a comment and let’s have a chat… http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs

KIN CAFE | LONDON

If you are after a great little café in West London that provides fresh, honest, healthy food, check out KIN. They have gorgeous, fresh salads and lucky me, they also have great gluten-free options. As I’m changing my whole lifestyle and eating habits, I’m currently in a “refined sugar free zone” which means that I have replaced refined sugar found in biscuits, processed food (anything coming with a packaging basically!) by natural sugar from fruits but I’m a foodie and their gluten-free chocolate and mandarin loaf cake sounds delicious! It’s a really nice space with lots of natural light and a great place to escape from the madness of Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road if you are in the area shopping… The beautiful grey high-stools are from HabitatThe stools and tables were designed by Dean Edmonds and the tiles on the counter were bought from the Tile Studio in Putney but I also highly recommend Castlenau Tiles where I got the tiles from for our en-suite in our loft conversion (check #bodieandfourenovations on Instagram) // Photography: French & Tye

2 weeks healthy challenge: Update 1

Shortly after writing about this creative challenge, we left to go on holidays in our house in France (featured below in Côté Ouest magazine) and the first week, I really didn’t feel like sitting in front of a computer which I think is a good sign. Instead I focused on eating clean, giving up coke zero and not dieting but changing my whole lifestyle and eating habits… As per my beach checklist + yoga download post here, I was planning to do Jason Vale’s 7 days juicing plan but the recipes didn’t really work for my Nutribullet (which blends not juices) so I switched challenged to have a daily green smoothie and focused on eating things that do not come out of a packets. When you shop for food at the supermarket with this in mind, you will see that you end up buying a lot of fruits and vegetables. How is this going so far?*Coke zeroI’m on week 4 of giving up Coke Zero which was before, a daily sugar fix (watch Hungry for change documentary on Netflix if …

MY BEACH CHECKLIST + YOGA DOWNLOAD

We are heading to our holiday home in France on Friday evening and I’m seriously counting the days! The #bodieandfourenovations are going well (see Instagram) but we took… the chimney breasts off the ground  floor, first and second floor yesterday and the dust is getting a bit too much. Our house has holes everywhere and I’m officially living in a big piece of Gruyere now. Here is a list of the things I always pack when heading to the beach. I think I’m pretty low-maintenance when it comes to packing as I always use my time at the beach to slow down, eat well, work out and generally keeping things simple. Anything else missing from my list is because they can be obtained easily from any local supermaket BEACH CHECK LISTAccessories– Sunglasses (I’m selling a brand new pair of Chanel sunglasses here).– Straw hat.
