5 things I want right now!

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’m currently on holidays in beautiful Croatia (travel blog post to follow) and while Rovinj is a fantastic place to visit and has many wonderful things to offer, shopping for fashion has proven to be, well…a bit challenging :-) So if you’re heading there, here a 5 things you should really pack in your suitcase. 1/ Pretty tops covering as little skin as possible like this Palm Beach top or this Grecian top or Grecian dress now 50% OFF. 2/Pack several bikinis too as you’ll spend hours in the water! I usually alter between a bandeau bikini top (matching bottom here) and an halter bikini top to avoid suntanned marks. Hush has some fantastic swimwear in their Summer Sale and I’m also loving this flattering Boyleg swimsuit from Boden for watersports. 3/Light cotton shorts to go to the beach and this pretty pair of Nairobi silk shorts by Totême to go out (loving these Toulon silk wide-leg trousers too). 4/A great pair of sunglasses (mine are always Rayban) and a straw hat but you’ll find plenty of shops selling hats down here cheaper than in …

So glad it’s Friday! It has been a good but busy week with a quick trip to London & Kent, then back in France to prepare this house for our guests and finish off the floor in this one. Tonight, we are off to sleep in my dad’s old boat for our annual “back to basis” week.

Last week, I flew back to London with François to style a Summer shot for DFS in Seasalter, Kent. The shooting location was a beach house called The Battery, located on the coast of North Kent and it was just such an amazing space. The Battery was built in 1874 for the Royal Naval Reserve as a base for target practice with gunners firing out to sea and it was used later on as a holiday camp for children. Marilyn, the owner, told me that she still get pensioners who spent their childhood in this place, coming to visit and apparently it hasn’t changed. I certainly believe that.The Battery was like a time capsule and had an amazing, happy vibe to it. I really love the place and I would have been quite happy to hang out there a weekend watching the sea. Sadly, Marilyn doesn’t do B&B but she runs occasional workshops to teach painting to beginners and most recently beads. She is soon off to Africa to teach Masai how to look after their beads so …

I’m back in London for a few days with François (you can follow him on Instagram) to style two photoshoots for clients and maybe fit it an interview for a London newspaper. I’m actually really excited to be here. It’s nice to be back in our gorgeous home and I still get a wow factor, Steve is finally back from a 4-weeks bike road trip to Iran and the weather is gorgeous!! Here is my selection this week! 1/Totally in love with this gorgeous Sachi maxi dress (60% OFF!) by Isabel Marant. This mini dress is also fab for the Summer 2/ Now that Steve is back, it’s time to bring out the big guns with this sexy lace bra by Stella McCartney hahaha (matching knickers here) 3/ These Olivia sandals are a Summer must-have 4/During the Summer, I’m always partial to a few straw hats like this Panama hat 5/ and having nice looking feet during the Summer is a must! This foot treatment from Fig+Yarrow is the bomb :-)
