I’m so out of “the zone” to eat clean and work out since my trip to London for Design Junction that it’s not even funny. So this week’s fashion must-haves, is a hell of a foxy look for you and I to go back into the zone before looking like whales. We can do this!
With its monochrome gallery wall, this gorgeous workspace takes wall display to the next level, don’t you think!? This is the studio of the talented Frida Ramstedt where Nina and Susanna recently shot a Christmas campaign. Given how all three have a knack for putting beautiful things together, I’m sure the result will be very nice. Beautifully put together, this collection of black & white picture frames featuring photography and illustration creates a striking visual effect with a real wow factor. If you’re looking for tips, I’ve written an article on how to hang a gallery wall here. I also wrote an article on how to hang picture frames without drilling into your walls here (yes it’s possible!). Have you ever tackled such a big wall display in your home? I have to admit, I never did but should I get to decorate a large wall with high ceilings, this workspace will be my first point of reference. What do you think!? Fancy doing this at home? PS: I really would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for taking on …
Little piece of wisdom I’m trying to pass on to Mila…What best piece of advice have you been giving to your children? Nowadays kids are a lot more connected than we were at their age. As a Blogger, it would be difficult for me to prevent her from using social media but I’m trying to teach her to keep her feet on the ground and to connect with her own tribe so to speak….real friends, friends she shares an interest, people she can rely on. Funnily enough, when it comes to Mila owing a phone for instance, I’m super traditional. She hasn’t got one yet and I will postpone it as much as I can (I’m aiming for her 16 years old birthday) :-) How about you? How are you feeling about all of this? GET SOME PRINTS
I’m not sure if it was the kitchen units which reminds me of my Ladurée scented candle (it’s so rare to see pale green kitchen units isn’t it?) or the white floorboards but I found this beautiful Swedish flat very soothing and calming, don’t you?
As some of you know, we are a franco-kiwi family and while we are not spending as much time in New-Zealand as we do in France, we’ve always made a point of teaching Mila to be a freewi and to embrace both nationalities and cultures. She was doing the Haka at the age of 3 and the same way I taught her how to make crèpes (pancakes), Steve taught her how to make pikelets which she made yesterday and again this morning and they are delicious!!
While it is a lot of work, I’m truly enjoying the creative process and the interaction social media provides and out of everything I’m on: the blog, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, IG and the blog are by far my favourite. Both are very visuals but the thing that does it for me, is the exchange, connection and
When you can’t be bothered to get dressed and PJ day is not an option, teaming a good old Breton jumper with boyfriend jeans is the perfect combo for an off-duty look à la French.
