OK so yes, I’m entering my 4th week of not working out and not eating such a balanced diet and I’m ok with it. I’m OK with it because…
since I’ve started this health & fitness journey at the beginning of the year, I fell off the flipping wagon many times…some times I fell so hard that it lasted not days but weeks!
I don’t have an explanation for it, it just happens. I’m in a routine, doing extremely well for months, cruising then a trip changes my daily routine, work gets in the way, I don’t have time to prep my meals like a boss _ or rather I don’t give myself the time to do it and give in to what is easy: takeaways, cooking pasta, having some M&Ms and suddenly, I’m off the wagon and days off turn into weeks.Now I’m thinking 4 weeks is enough, get a grip woman!
And I am…in the past two days, I have picked up on my healthy habits again. These 10 habits especially, are really helping me to re-center and re-connect with my focus which is to live an enjoyable and balanced life…for the rest of my life.
Do you remember the “wax on wax off” scene in The Karate Kid movie? This is it! What you practice constantly becomes a part of you…Patience, calm, focus, control… That freshly squeezed lemon juice you drink every morning, that 2 lt of water you drink all day, that bowl of greens with turmeric you eat daily, that 20 minutes of exercise you take each day…they all add up and gently but surely, these healthy habits shape up your mind and strengthen your commitment and that’s why, when you are ‘in the zone”, it is very important to build long-lasting habits…they are the ones that will pull you back on track when you feel like him :-)
Eventually it all comes back and you will remember why you and I changed lifestyle. Have a great, healthy week!
