So today, let me show you the rest of this beautiful Italian home with natural accents which exudes Summer holidays and let’s imagine just for a few minutes, that we can all spend a bit of time there enjoying nice Italian food and lovely Italian weather…
Are you with me on this?
This beautiful Italian home is the holidays home of Designers Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba (who designed the Lama chair above) and is located in the South Eastern part of Italy.
Originally an old 17th-century oil mill, the couple renovated this gorgeous building by modernising the space while respecting some of the original features and adding some of their most iconic creations and a few custom pieces. The result is a breathtaking space where natural light flows. The dining table below was a commission of their own design from Exteta and paired it with Abanica chairs by Oscar Tusquets for Driade. The ceramic centrepiece is by Emilia Palomba, Roberto’s aunt.
I love how they’ve kept the original stones below and mixed various shades of creams and whites. It does feel very peaceful and summery, doesn’t it? One of the major challenges they experienced during the renovation was that the original building was lacking windows. To solve this issue, the architects carved out a number of skylights in most of the rooms and opened up the back of the structure to create a patio, letting daylight flood in.I hope you enjoyed this house tour…Wishing you a lovely day
