Denim & Stan Smith
Mila told me that next year, they are not allowed to wear ripped denim in College. Good job I’m not going back to school in September. Ripped boyfriend jeans and Stan Smith are kind of my uniform these days…

Last week, I featured two shots from this Dutch home photographed by Sonja Velda, first in my post about these four beautiful white kitchens with concrete floor and then this amazing sliding door in my DETAILS series. I thought the house was so beautiful that it was worth showing you the rest of it. I have also found out since then, that the vintage patchwork on the sliding door was a wallpaper by Studio Onszelf which made my day as this will be a lot easier to use! So without further ado, let me show the rest of this fabulous, family home. What do you think of this home? What were your favourite details? //Photography Sonja Velda with thanks
I had two things on my wish list for a long long time and when I saw they were both on sale, my heart skipped a beat! The first one was this gorgeous leopard clutch (30% OFF) by Clare Vivier which I saw in a Steven Alan shop in San-Francisco and then spent my jetlagged evening trying to find it cheaper online. I didn’t… So I ended up buying this gorgeous white dress, which is now sold out but this one is at 50% OFF. I also love this openwork panel dress sadly not in the sale but as it is from Mango, it remains affordable. And then, THE cabas by Vanessa Bruno. I’ve always thought, comes the right time, that I would get the brown linen cabas but last time I went to Hossegor, I saw the nude version in a shop and fell in love with it. It is now 40% OFF so BAM! Here is my first sale purchase, well technically my second because I also grabbed a pair of slimming leggings to run from Mango at 50% OFF but running gear doesn’t count, …
I remember once asking about sliding door on Instagram during the bodieandfourenovations and got a lot of answers and feedback to my query so I’m sure you will love this sliding door. My thought when I came across was…WOW…there is sliding door and there is that kind of sliding door! They basically put together a bunch of wooden shutters & doors to create one striking and beautiful, vintage panel. In essence, it’s not difficult to do but the tricky part, I think, will be to manage the overall weight of the door and to secure a track strong enough to bear the weight. What do you think? Also, this is the third of my DETAILS series and I would love to know what you think of this little series which is meant to highlight one specific detail and over time, enable you to build a nice collection of interesting and stylish details to apply to future interior design projects. //Photography: Sonja Velda
Sale have kicked off in the UK and rather than doing a 5 Things I Want Right Now, I thought I would focus on the sale so we can all grab some bargains while we can. Today, I’m starting with a selection from my favourite designer Isabel Marant but I’ll also cover bargains from the high-street very soon. I’ve also sorted them out by categories since you found this useful last time.
Seriously loving the Instagram feed of Jacqueline Mikutas at the moment. Her recent photos in the Balearic Islands are Summer perfection…and this hammock! Let’s get the look! (position your mouse near the cross to see the price)
Mila (11 years old) is off to her first school trip. To summarise how we both feel about this trip in a few words…She is excited, I’m not :-)
Dreaming of Summer by the beach? Let me take you to Mykonos…you won’t regret it! Spread across a peninsula flanked by Kavos and Paraga Beaches on Greece’s Mykonos, the Scorpios beach club has just landed at the top of my bucketlist. With its natural, boho vibe, the place exudes Summer and me-time at the beach. The wood and natural tones are simply gorgeous. I have been lusting after these Shezad suspensions since my last trip to the Maison & Objet trade show in Paris and while they are probably too big for the bedroom I want to revamp, this smaller suspension would be a great alternative to introduce a natural, carefree vibe to the room. So what do you think? Do you fancy going there too like right now!?
