Camel trench coat and dark denim

Camel trench coat and dark denim

A camel trench coat is one piece of clothing you will always find in my wardrobe. Belted like the classic Burberry trench coat or straight like mine (I have both versions in my wardrobe), they are both a fashion staple. Timeless, they look equally great with a pair of affordable denim from Mango or a feminine and sexy pencil skirt. This one is from Muji (old collection) but you can find some really nice trench coats here. BEANIE  check these and these TRENCH COAT check here and here I have a soft spot for this one and this one from ARKET DARK DENIM (mine is from Bensimon AW18) but check these LEATHER BAG vintage (was my mum’s) but similar ones here DISCOVER THE NEW HUSH COLLECTION

How to add warmth & comfort to a master bedroom

Our master bedroom makeover

Adding warmth and comfort to our master bedroom was a priority of mine when we left London and relocated to our home in France. In the past few months, our French home has seen several complete makeovers. The kitchen is now very functional, user-friendly, has plenty of storage and is a pleasure to look at. The hallway also had a complete makeover with a fresh, new coat of paint, additional storage and is looking more beachy and inviting. Next is the bathroom which I will share with you shortly. Today, let me show you what we did with our master bedroom. In comparison to other rooms in the house like the bathroom, our bedroom didn’t really require an update besides a fresh coat of white paint. Twelve years ago, I designed the bedroom (see below) with a ’boutique hotel’ feel in mind. It’s a look I still see featured in decoration magazines and on Pinterest (you can follow my boards here if you wish). Oversized art prints for your home

Oversized art prints for your home

Have you ever considered oversized art prints for your home? It is something that I have been thinking about quite often these past few months especially since I started planning the interior design for CASA PYLA. For this up-and-coming renovation project two minutes from the beach, I envision a luxury residence. Think bare, textured walls, high ceilings, muted tones, and oversized art. Something in the lines of the interiors I recently posted on the blog like this Belgian flat designed by Vincent Van Duysen (thumb up for the muted tones!) or this home where the Tine K Home collection was photographed. The house we are buying is an old one. It is located in Pyla, a sought-after area that incidentally has a fair amount of restrictive urbanism rules to follow. This means that it may not look as modern as I would hope to be. However, I’m hoping to replicate the feeling of bliss, calm and luxury these interiors mentioned above exude. “For me, real Luxury is not expensive designer bags and clothes. It’s free time (and enough money) to …

20 beautiful winter coats to grab in the sale

20 beautiful winter coats to grab in the sale

The January sale is the perfect time to grab investment pieces like winter coats at a reduced price to wear for the next season. Especially if you go for a classic coat like this belted winter coat I purchased a few months ago. I think mine is now sold out but this winter coat looks great. Corduroy is a huge trend this season, it’s also warm, cozy and durable – perfect for the next few months. This long loose trench coat has oversized patch pockets and an optional belt to define your waist. Renowned for its elegant yet modern designs, this coat by Joseph is a great example of what the brand does so well. It’s made from a weighty wool-blend so the long cut hangs perfectly, and comes with an optional tie belt to cinch the loose fit. Check this Joseph winter coat in green too. I also love the exaggerated silhouettes of this coat by London based label A.W.A.K.E. Last but not least, this structured wool coat from Mango is a real steal. Here is a …
