Mima Le Chat

Sometimes, you just get very very good days where everything is just working together and today was one of those for us at B&F.  Sophie and our creative team are putting together an amazing mail order catalogue and I can’t wait to show you the end result. I really hope this is going to be a success because if it’s not, I’m not sure we will be in a position to produce another one as it is incredibly expensive to produce but we will cross that bridge when we come to it…. We also received the Mima Le Chat print (featured below in the minx’s bedroom with her new shooooees bought by her papa), the Bat print and Le Chat print and I frankly love them all! Very excited to be in Harper’s Bazaar

Well this was in the October issue but that how quick I am!The truth is that things have been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to check all our press but yesterday I got an email from Mia-Louise, the talented designer of these beautiful, handmade prints who was over the moon and very grateful that we managed to get her work featured in Harper’s Bazaar. Personally I would like to thank Emma Love who put this Mono Mania featured together. Don’t you love Harper’s Bazaar!? I wish I had copy of this issue :-( I remember perfectly when Mia-Louise and I started working together. She contacted me to see if I was interested in stocking her prints on B&F and one look at them and I was like……Hellooo!! Yeah! I just thought they were really beautiful and unique. We got them featured first in The Independent around October 2 years ago and gosh…the response was absolutely amazing. I think we were selling something like 40 a week….I was emailing Mia-Louise almost every day …

Things I like by India Knight

We’re really chuffed! The Times Columnist and Author India Knight kindly mentioned our beautiful London, Paris and New-York prints in her blog this morning. India has been incredibly good to us and wrote very nice things about us in the past about our little company and ‘brilliant customer service’.She is also a customer and have two of our gorgeous lamps by Flavia del Pra in her home, which by the way is a visual feast of colour and if you haven’t seen it yet, you can do so here. Here are some of India’s books available on Amazon:Neris and India’s Idiot-proof diet (ordered already!)Neris and India’s Proof-Diet CookbookThe Dirty Bits: for girlsThe Thrift book: Live well and Spend lessHappy, fun reading!

The Design work of Stephen Crowhurst

Stephen Crowhurst is a surface and pattern designer living in Toronto, Canada. He recently sent me a link to his site Hello Hello (cool name). I really like his style…. Creating unique and life inspiring pieces, Stephen works on a wide range of freelance commissions while at the same time creating his own line of fabric prints and other interior products.
