We are off to France tomorrow afternoon.A part of me is super excited because my sister and best-friend are both coming down to spend a few days with us at the beach (+ Côté Ouest magazine is coming to shoot the house). The other part is disappointed that I will not be able to attend Will’s book launch of Bright Bazaar.I know it’s going to be packed and I really wish I could be there so this is for Will and to show him I’m thinking of him. A METEORITE IN MOTION… I started reading Bright Bazaar around 2011 and while Will’s posts, his home and tastes are waaay more colourful than mine, I’ve always loved the sense of positivity and happiness they have but more than anything I love the guy behind Bright Bazaar.Back then, Will was only 24 years old and I say only because you could see from his posts, that there were already a huge amount of talent brewing there already. I felt he was like a meteorite in motion in the blogosphere and …

An uplifting dining room for Spring

After I wrote this last post on creating an inviting, family-friendly dining room that is useful and inspiring, I got a really lovely email from someone telling me how much it inspired her and asking advice about which dining room furniture sets to get for her home. I can’t comment on style since I don’t know her interior colours but I had this dining room styled by VT Woven on my moodboard at work since the beginning of the year and each time, I look at it, I feel inspired and uplifted by the orange accents in the room. If you’re not sure about having such a bright colour for your chairs, I would stick to timeless dining sets and add colour accents with accessories like this mint linen table cloth I shared on Instagram over the weekend, flowers and cups but here are a few tips on what chairs to get. // Chic and stylish Nothing beats beautiful upholstered dining chairs to achieve a chic and stylish look at home. Upholstered dining chairs like this Schreiber Woburn dining set in charcoal …

Fluo & pastel touches

Thank you so much for all your feedback on these two shots for our Spring/Summer catalogue 2012. It was very helpful and interesting (we got lots of feedback on Facebook and Twitter too) and we have now re-shot the BAU pendant light and the San-Francisco map print incorporating most feedback.Having worked a lot lately around blues, greys, wood and whites, it was nice to see something different such as the home of Norwegian ceramist Silje Aune Eriksen, featured in the latest issue of Elle Decoration Norway.I love the touches of pastels and pink masking tape that liven up her gorgeous flat, the beams and love, love, love the last shot of the vintage metal cabinet with storage boxes on top of it….another one to add to this series of visually inspiring storage solutions.Enjoy! Hit me with orange!

Third day of shooting and I woke up in the morning not feelin like P. Daddy but like crashing the back of my mum’s car into the wall…sighWhile my Dad was seriously getting stressed out by the broken wall (yes! I broke the car AND the wall!), my mum and I started laughing hysterically, saying that it could have been worse….the wall could have fallen down onto the recently purchased pool which would have then exploded and then flood the house… Right now, I need orange trousers, loud music, a crazy dance with Mila and go back to my photoshoot! trousers via Coco Kelley | clutch from CV | food | stairs | door | pigeon

but I have absolutely no idea where I found this image sorry!Have a great weekend! I’m off to the Spirit of Summer fair and then afterwards, I will try to do my own Koushi lamp to add the final touches to our lounge as our home will be photographed early June by Tara Bradford (very exciting!) for a new, cool, digital magazine similar to Rue magazine – but UK focused. mais je n’ai absolument aucune idee ou j’ai trouve cette image, desole!
