Haven’t you felt like a million $$$$ after coming out of a hairdresser appointment? It is a sure way to look and feel good providing you’ve found a Hairdresser you trust and love of course! I have now, but I also came across a few hairdressers who did such a poor job that all I wanted to do, was to burn down their salon (I haven’t, never will but the thought was there…). So if you’re in need of a change to start the new year with a new look, new vibe, new you, here are 10 short haircuts sported by French women. This doesn’t mean that women from other nationalities don’t sport short hair well, of course, they do! I’m obsessed with Alexa Chung and Uma Thurman’s hair here but being French and all that, that’s the angle I’m going for ;-) Which one do you prefer!?
During Summertime, I like to go for hairstyles that are fairly low-maintenance, like the beach wave or something shorter easy to style. When the sun is out, we should be outside enjoying the nice weather while it lasts instead of being stuck in the bathroom, right!? Right now, my hair is far too long so most of the time, it ends up tied up in a messy bun when I work on my laptop, in a ponytail when I go surfing and down when I go out so it would be nice to get something a bit shorter and fresher for the holidays. Here are 8 haircuts that caught my eye for this Summer and which may work for you too.1. Cameron 2. Sienna 3. Alexa 4. Clemence 5. Jules 6. Vanessa 7. Uma 8. Nadia Which haircut do you prefer? I’m loving Uma’s…I think it’s super cute, don’t you think!?
I’m off to Paris on Friday and I’ve booked an appointment with my sister‘s hairstylist who made me look like a Goddess last time she cut my hair. When I kicked off my journey at the start of the year to become a 40* something leaner, fitter, sexier version of myself, I also promised myself that I would 1) cut my hair shorter, 2) make the time to master blow-dry like I’m coming out of the hairdresser…you know when it’s super bouncy, silky and glamorous and 3) doing make-up like Lisa Eldridge. Since I’m turning 46 on Monday, I thought there is no time for new beginnings than now so here is the look I’m going for:
While writing this Outfit perfection post on faux-fur last week, I came across Fearne Cotton’s haircut here. I love how fearless she is with her hair…Wearing red lipstick, I thought Fearne’s hairdo looked very sexy and similar to French actress Clemence Poesy’s haircut. Since then I have been pondering whether I should just go for the chop, go back to having a fringe or do both… They only thing that stops me is no longer be able to do…
My hair is naturally wavy which is a blessing on holidays not so much the rest of the year when I’m after a sleeker look. Mila on the other hand, who incidentally told me that… she wanted to have “Live to sing” tattooed in her arm and change her hair to have it option1) dyed in blue or option 2) have it long on one side and shaved on the other side (she is 9…)…has perfect beach hair.As perfect and beautiful her hair is, between salt, sun, wind, it gets tangled easily so here are 5 of my favourite and effortless hairdos for the beach to keep yours and your daughter’s hair under control If you misssed it, check out my post about 5 messy buns here. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.Sharing is caring ❤️ Leave a comment and let’s have a chat… http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs
I spend a fair amount of time on Pinterest (for work of course!) and once in a while, I see something and think…WOW! And that’s exactly what I thought when I saw Clémence Poesy’s new haircut…She has always been a very attractive girl but her new haircut has made her even more sexier.
Yesterday I was showing an old photo of me to Mila on which I had a fringe… Mila: “You were a lot nicer with a fringe…” Me: “ah bon? I don’t look like nice now?” Mila: “si… but you were nicer with a fringe, it suits you better” My father used to tell me all the time when I was a teen that short hair suited me better so I see that having an opinion on my hairdo or the lack of it runs in the family. To be honest, I had the fringe for a few years so I quite fancy a change. I took a photo to my hairdresser before flying to New-Zealand and felt like bombing the place when I came out but hey, I was off to the beach so I thought I could live with it.
