Le Trench coat, a wardrobe must-have1

Trench kiss

I’m not gonna lie, my efforts to dress up are pretty minimal at the moment… denim + Stan Smith + cashmere jumper combo and an oversized coat from Monki, I bought during my last trip in Paris and my usual Chanel lipstick. While it’s all good to take time off personal styling, I didn’t want to completely switch off, so last time Steve went back to London, I asked him to bring back a few of my clothes. Living between two countries is not as glamorous as it sounds, personally, I never have the thing I need in the right country but I have at least, started scanning some of our paperwork to have them with us wherever we are (if you have other tips, please do share).

5 things I want right now!

Don’t you love it when your mum can teach your children something she taught you as a child? Mila started to learn how to sew with my mum and has been talking about it non stop and I know she is in good hands. Our great-grand mother Elodie was a modeliste and taught my grand-mother to sew and knit from an early age. She then passed on these skills to her four daughters and us, her grand-daughters, at least for sewing. I never managed to knit anything properly but Elodie is having another go… Last night, we watched “Couture, The New queens of Haute”, a very interesting documentary featuring

5 things I want right now!

How has your week been so far? Mine has been good…and interesting. I took good care of myself, went to the hairdresser and frankly after three weeks of living under a rock, I feel and look human again but what I thought was interesting was how things were changing for me. I did two things that I would have never done before dad’s death.

Monday's must-have: overcoat with animal print

Monday’s must-have

Quick one before I head to the train station for a week in Paris…Each winter season, I’m attracted to animal print coats and this year, I’m loving the rock vibe of this one. I had a coup de coeur on this cape too. Teamed with leather leggings and a pair of Stan Smith, Isabel Marant Bobby sneakers, you are good to go!! What do you think?

5 things I want right now!

Last time I did a 5 Things I want right now, Mila and I were off to stay with some friends for a wonderful weekend and then Life happened. It has been three weeks now. Some days are good, others are bad and others really bad. I’m trying to go with the flow, to bend not to break. I feel I have little to give so the little amount goes to my family, my sister, my brother, my mum so we can try to go through this together and come out on the other side stronger, closer and eventually happy again. These days, I’m all for anything comforting and soothing…soft cashmere jumpers, soft linen to sleep in, the sweet smell of baking filling the house and things with a happy vibe.

5 things I want right now!

Steve is off to Cardiff this weekend to watch the rugby match France Vs New-Zealand with some kiwi friends and Mila and I are heading off near Cap-Breton to stay with friends, as soon as I have welcomed the guests staying in our house. I’ve packed my weekender with pretty much these things…

5 things I want right now!

I’m so out of “the zone” to eat clean and work out since my trip to London for Design Junction that it’s not even funny. So this week’s fashion must-haves, is a hell of a foxy look for you and I to go back into the zone before looking like whales. We can do this!

5 things I want right now!

When you can’t be bothered to get dressed and PJ day is not an option, teaming a good old Breton jumper with boyfriend jeans is the perfect combo for an off-duty look à la French.
