A beautiful Swedish flat with white floorboards

I’m not sure if it was the kitchen units which reminds me of my Ladurée scented candle (it’s so rare to see pale green kitchen units isn’t it?) or the white floorboards but I found this beautiful Swedish flat very soothing and calming, don’t you?

decorating with old painting

Decorating with old paintings

I like the idea of decorating a modern home with an old painting…I grew up in a cluttered home, which is probably why I’m going the opposite and go for clean-looking, relaxed interiors but I love the idea of adding a bit of history into a modern home and mostly let the painting breathe rather than being lost in clutter. What do you think?

Vintage treasures for sale

I bought these two wooden crates in Bristol from a lovely shop in Clifton where we used to live when Mila was born. I’ve always loved their vintage and rustic look and over the years, I’ve used them as shelves, side table, storage for Mila’s toys, props for my styling but now they can be yours… Mila is also selling her big Mister Bear and as she said to me this morning: “It should go, it’s a very cool toy…”Take her words for it :-) Price for each crate is £35 + postage and Mister Bear is £20 + postage. All items can be collected from W6 or W3 or posted internationally. If interested, please leave a comment or email me to leblog@bodieandfou.comSee more items listed on ebay here. I will add a lot more over the weekendUPDATE: The two crates and Mister Bear are now sold!Sharing is caring ❤️ Leave a comment and let’s have a chat…

On my travel wish-list…Bruxelles

I’ve always wanted to go to Bruxelles for a weekend.  I would also like to go back to New-York for a week and Koh-Samui for 4 weeks….In fact, if you ask me, the list of places I would like to see is quite long. I’ve been suggesting a long weekend in Bruxelles to Steve but he’s not really feeling the love yet and that is because we come from two different views.  Steve thinks flight/queue/hassle/tootired/traveltoomuch/Europeanparliament/weather I’m thinking inspiration/decoration/design/vintage/coolplacestosee and yes I could go there by myself like the big girl that I am but the truth is, I’m done travelling on my own. I don’t enjoy it as much as I used to, mostly because I miss my little family as soon as I’m away  So here is list of places I would like to see when we go there (because we will! :-) ICI (photo 1) a lovely delicatessen launched by Saskia et Marine  {35 Rue Darwin, 35 1050 Bruxelles Tél. : 02/343 88 57 You can follow them here} The ALEXIS VANHOVE Gallery and SHOWROOM (photo 2): Dedicated to mid-century furniture, the …

Vintage filing cabinet love

Thank you for your lovely comments over the weekend…My Dad goes in hospital on 8th, will know better then. A few years ago, Elodie sourced a beautiful vintage filing cabinet which successively has been used in her home as a kitchen cupboard (in Lille), a shoes cupboard (in Barcelona) and is now being used as a filing cabinet to store all the family papers in Paris. Eventually I found one for our home and this month, I also found one for the shop. Last year, while Mila and I were making cards, I also made labels and allocated one drawer per family member including Lucas, which now allows me to store all our paperwork (bills, mortgage infos, insurance, Mila’s drawings, Lucas’ vet details etc) in one place rather than having them spread around the house… total bliss and it looks good! Now that all our papers are sorted, the next thing I want to do is a gorgeous moodboard on the wall with masking tapes like Tine K did in her home (pic 1). 1. …
