Here are some photos of the lounge we recently renovated in this house in France and managed to finish before our first guests from Sweden arrived! I absolutely love how it looks.As mentioned in my post here, the house had 60’s vintage tiles from different colours from one room to another so to uniform the look and improve the visual flow of the house, we used this vinyl floor from Leroy-Merlin, which was fairly easy to lay down (as long as your floor is well-levelled). Personally, I thought the light version looked a bit too plasticky whereas this one has a nice texture to it.

I also took this opportunity to move things around a bit and update the decor with a gorgeous three-seater dark grey Mimi sofa from Swoon Editions (see fabric close-up below).
To add textures and soft touches, I added a soft throw on the sofa, a few more plants and replace the large coffee table, which was taking too much space by three Alseda stools from Ikea made of banana leaves, which can then be used as a coffee table or spare seats. The sofa is now facing the garden and I moved the dining table by the French doors.The house is now fully booked until 29th August but if you fancy coming in September, we often have a gorgeous Indian Summer minus the crowd.
