I’m off to Paris on Friday and I’ve booked an appointment with my sister‘s hairstylist who made me look like a Goddess last time she cut my hair.
When I kicked off my journey at the start of the year to become a 40* something leaner, fitter, sexier version of myself, I also promised myself that I would 1) cut my hair shorter, 2) make the time to master blow-dry like I’m coming out of the hairdresser…you know when it’s super bouncy, silky and glamorous and 3) doing make-up like Lisa Eldridge.
Since I’m turning 46 on Monday, I thought there is no time for new beginnings than now so here is the look I’m going for:
I asked my hairdresser at the Aveda salon what to get to blow-dry your hair at home and she suggested the following:
- This Aveda styling foam
- a round brush like this GHD radial brush
- a good hair dryer, one with a nozzle and temperature control (get the best one you can afford)
- hair clips to hold your hair up
- an hair spray to get long-lasting effect
I haven’t decided if I’m going for the dip dye effect. Since I’ve been eating clean, my hair condition has greatly improved and I think I’m going to enjoy being a brunette wearing red lipstick in Spring and change my head again before the Summer. Which hairstyle do you prefer?
SHOP THE POST:
Gorgeous hair, I prefer the first one, it’s the perfect length, don’t dip dye, I think your hair is the perfect colour! The best investment I have made (after my Parlux hairdryer – you are right about buying the best one you can afford) was a brush from my hairdressers. It’s made such a difference to my blow drying, I don’t need product anymore to make it behave!
You look beautiful as brunette wearing red lips!,,
You look great in any hair style :)
I am heading to Paris too, next month.
