Keeping things in balance…

Keeping things in balance...

Today I read the following (see full quote in my stories): “Just do your best to keep yourself in balance. One of the first things that causes energy misalignment, is asking or demanding too much of yourself in terms of time and effort. In other words, you just cannot burn the candle at both ends, so that you are physically tired, and then expect yourself to have a cheerful attitude…”

So I went to the gym this morning and decided to take the rest of day off to fully recharge my batteries without feeling guilty.

Interiors fairs like Ambiente fair in Frankfurt, are often great and inspiring but they are really hard work.
I walked an average of 12Kms per day and you know how it is when you go from stand to stand…you walk slowly so stand a lot longer on your legs.
Needless to say that my legs muscles were seriously aching by the end of each day.

I flew to Frankfurt Thursday late afternoon and Steve flew from London in the evening to be with Mila over the weekend.

As you may have gathered from my Instagram updates, our family life has slightly changed…

We have sold our London home (more photos here) but Steve still works in London and Mila and I are now based in France by the sea, so we are making the most of our family times at weekends except last weekend when I had to work.

But he is a fantastic dad so they went to a pet show, to the cinema, bought some little cacti, had pizza and lots of fun together.

Steve also bought Mila lots of art supplies…

So by the time, I came back, she had made a few paintings for her friends, some pots for the cacti which she painted in pink to match the decor in her bedroom and these gorgeous clay things that I love.

Isn’t this cactus and this little character adorable!?
I’ve convinced her to keep them bare so I could use them for styling.Keeping things in balance...Keeping things in balance...

I also bought her this lovely blouse from Zara, which I thought you may like (items that are now too small for her are listed on bodieandfoupreloved)Keeping things in balance...Keeping things in balance... Keeping things in balance... How about your? What are your tips to keep things in balance? Do you manage to take some time off without feeling guilty or is it still something that is work in progress :-)

By the way, have you seen the new Hush collection!?

I’m loving this washed LOVED sweatshirt, these black dungarees and OMG, these trousers!!
