Last weekend, Steve was away for the weekend on a business ski trip so Mila and I had a girly weekend..
Mila: “Maman, I would like to be like you and have everything like you. I want a bag, a blackberry, glasses and some lipstick too“
Me: “umm…”
Mila: “I would like a bag like you!”
Me: “But you have lots of bags already! I’ve given you a very nice pink one with a big flower on”
Mila: “No, I want a bag like this” (pointing at my bag)
Me: “Aahhh (it’s in the genes)….well I promise you, I will give you one when you are older
Mila: “How old? Seven?”
Sadly for my beautiful daughter, not matter how many bags I can get my hands on in the shop, I’m not the kind of mother who will spend £200 on a bag for a five-years old…or on a seven-years old for that matter…:-)

I can’t wait for the Summer to arrive…

Moi: “umm…”
Mila: “Je veux un sac comme toi!”
Moi: “Mais tu as deja beaucoup de sacs!
Mila: “A quel age? Quand j’aurais sept ans?”

That’s adorable. And you are smart!
Gorgeous story! A coquette in the making, methinks???
She does have good taste at least:)
What an amazing photo!! Beautiful.
Ah, what a cute little anecdote. Sounds like someone’s bagged themselves a pretty brilliant mum. x
I LOVE that photo
Brilliant story. I love kids and their naive and genius approach to things: I have a 4 year old and she asked if she could borrow my Camel nailvarnish the other day – oh well at least she tried :O)
I have recently found your blog, and i think it is adorable. you are such talented writer and a real inspiration. and your daughter is so cute! Couldnt stop laughing about the bag-conversation you had, but have to say it sounds sensible to stick with pink-flower-bags as long as you can. Johanna xo
So cute… Very nicely written. Really makes think.
