Like the Bay of Arcachon, l’île de Ré is definitively a destination for nature and fitness lovers. There is about 100 kms of cycling path that will take you around the island from Saint-Martin-en-Ré where I took these photos to La Flotte and Ars-en-Ré, all very nice destinations on the island. You don’t really have to worry about where to stay, the island is quite small and you can get from one side of the island to the other on the back of your bike. As you can see from my photos, the weather was quite overcast when I was there. It wasn’t exactly the perfect bikini beach day, more like a breton wearing kind of day but it was still very beautiful.
Just before Christmas, Laura Ashley contacted me to take part into their new campaign challenge “15 uses for a throw“. As we were about to leave for New-Zealand to spend time with family and I had very little time left, I packed the beautiful throw I received and took it to the Coromandel Peninsula (a beautiful part of New-Zealand on the north island).
