8 helpful fitness motivation tips to work out

Finding motivation to work out is half the battle so if you’re struggling, here are 8 tried & tested fitness motivation tips which will get you back on track! These fitness motivation tips are the ones I find most useful and they usually help me to go back on track once I’ve fallen off the wagon and we all do! Fitness motivation tip 1: As I exercise first thing in the morning (I really can’t be bothered in the evening!), I usually find that checking my favourite fitness accounts on Instagram when I go to bed, motives me to work out in the morning the day after. My current favourite accounts are @kaylaitsines @barrebody (stunning) @selfmagazine @clean_eating_alice (for clean eating inspo) @amberdodzweit (for badass girls) and @biancamaycheah who I found uplifting and beautiful. Fitness motivation tip 2: The other thing I do is treating myself with new gear and when the sale is on, it is the perfect time to grab a few goodies for less money. Always style-conscious, I love wearing all black when I work out. It kind of limit the damages …

This is so funny!

This is so funny!

I’m off to Bikram yoga this weekend with a friend and read this hilarious post written by Daniel Sherman, a guy who had tried Bikram and was selling his yoga mat for $1. It is quite long but definitively worth reading! Enjoy! Yoga mat for sale. $1 Used once at lunch hour class in December 2009. Usage timeline as follows:  11:45a Register for hot yoga class. Infinite wisdom tells me to commit to 5 class package and purchase a yoga mat. I pay $89.74. Money well spent, I smugly confirm to myself.  11:55aOpen door to yoga room. A gush of hot dry air rushes through and past me. It smells of breath, sweat and hot. Take spot on floor in back of room next to cute blonde. We will date. 11:57aI feel the need to be as near to naked as possible. This is a problem because of the hot blonde to my left and our pending courtship. She will not be pleased to learn that I need to lose 30 pounds before I propose to her. 11:58aThe …

30-day Bikram Yoga challenge | DAY 25 (Elle Macpherson is 49!)

Holly Molly! Elle Macpherson is 49! Ok so last night we went out with our friend Greg from New-Zealand and I had a bit (make that a lot) to drink. As a consequence, I woke up at 4am (I never sleep well when I had too much to drink) feeling hungover but somehow, I ended up on this Tumblr. Read her progress here. It gave me the kick in the backside I needed to go to my Bikram yoga at 6.30am (she was bigger than me when she started her journey to a healthy lifestyle) and it turned out to be a fantastic class! La voila….I should drink more often! Now…have you tried the ‘sexy arms’ workout I posted on Sunday? NON!? DO IT! It looks simple but I challenge you to do all the reps and not feeling your arms burning!

30-day Bikram Yoga challenge | DAY 24 (+ a mini challenge to get sexy arms)

How are you?I hope you had a great Saturday! As my 30-day Bikram Yoga challenge is coming to an end and my beach holidays are around the corner (only 4 weeks away), I thought it was time to take on other mini challenges to tackle problem areas. So this week, I’m starting this Tracy Anderson Sexy Arm – Beginners challenge – which doesn’t require any equipment and is only 10 min if you do it twice. So who is in it with me??———————————————————————————————————————————————————————-Ca va?J’espere que vous avez passé un bon Samedi.

30-day Bikram Yoga challenge | DAY 23

Via What are you up to this weekend? Steve is off to for the day so Mila and I are going to have some mother & daughter quality time in our garden to make the most of this glorious weather. She just had a lot of fun cleaning up the garden with the hose and soaking Lucas (he wasn’t very impressed!) while I took our white ball chairs outside so now everything is ready for us.This afternoon, I’m taking her to her first Bikram Yoga class for kids and then we will cook some honey & lemon marinated chicken. If you live in West London, try this pub The Oak W12 where we had our family meal last night (more pics on Instagram). They have a couple of our Clip-On Lights behind the bar, our New-York Black & Copper wall light in the back room  and a couple of our New-York table lamps. I’m in love with the interior design!Have a great one! Bises{RECIPE}Ingredients:Juice and zest of 1 large lemon (3 tablespoons juice), 3 tablespoons honey, 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic, 1 1/2teaspoons ground cumin, 1 teaspoon dried …

30-day Bikram Yoga challenge | DAY 22

How are you??I’m so ready for the Summer! I went to my Bikram yoga class at lunch time today and gosh it was hot! As I was staring at myself in the large mirror looking red, sweaty and reasonably unattractive but toner and fitter, I realised how much I’ve enjoyed this challenge.Yes ok some days have been tougher than others but overall, the benefits have not only been positive from a physical point of view but also mentally. I’m more focused and relaxed. I feel I handle stress at work in a much better way and I had my share over the years (read my interview for Kelly Hoppen here) and most of it I feel full of energy.I know some of you have found my updates here on the blog or Instagram very inspiring and I’m glad because if you can take on this challenge or any other fitness challenge for that matter (my friend Hannah from Dreamwalls is doing amazingly well running), it can only be for the best.So if you need more inspiration, here are a few …

30-day Bikram Yoga challenge | DAY 20

Via Do you think she is wearing silver shorts? I kind of like them, although I can’t really figure out if they are really silver or if it’s just the photo.  Anyway, I thought I would throw in an inspiring nice, toned body in case you need to re-focus on your bikini body goal because I realised last night that MY bikini holidays are actually around the corner and I better crack on with it. So, while you’re reading this (scheduled) post, I’ll be at my 6.30am Bikram yoga class. On my return, Mila and I will hit the road to join Steve in Wales & go surfing. I use the term ‘go surfing’ very loosely since I’ve only tried that once, a few weeks ago in North Devon but Steve was keen to do it again and went yesterday. I have to say, I loved it and if we can find a sport for the whole family to enjoy together even when the weather is not great, I say we are onto a winner! What …
