Inspiring place to eat in London: Story Deli Read on www.karinecandicekong.com

Story Deli in London

My favourite place to eat pizza in London is Story Deli because visually, I think it’s one of the most inspiring places to be. As a lover of white interiors, textures and vintage, Story Deli feels like a second home to me. Over the years, Story Deli has moved around East London and is now located at the end of Bricklane on Bethnal Green Road. The new Story Deli is a lot more pared down than it used to be, like a more balanced, grown-up version, yet still so beautiful (you can glimpse the old one here). It has fewer tables than it used to have, the distressed white floorboards at the old location have been replaced by a concrete floor, space has still heigh ceilings and as today was a nice day, I particularly enjoyed the natural light flooding from two large sky windows. We (Steve, Mila and I) usually go there at weekends which is always packed so it was a real treat to have a late lunch today (Thursday) with my friend Catherine and share the space only with a …

KIN CAFE | LONDON

If you are after a great little café in West London that provides fresh, honest, healthy food, check out KIN. They have gorgeous, fresh salads and lucky me, they also have great gluten-free options. As I’m changing my whole lifestyle and eating habits, I’m currently in a “refined sugar free zone” which means that I have replaced refined sugar found in biscuits, processed food (anything coming with a packaging basically!) by natural sugar from fruits but I’m a foodie and their gluten-free chocolate and mandarin loaf cake sounds delicious! It’s a really nice space with lots of natural light and a great place to escape from the madness of Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road if you are in the area shopping… The beautiful grey high-stools are from HabitatThe stools and tables were designed by Dean Edmonds and the tiles on the counter were bought from the Tile Studio in Putney but I also highly recommend Castlenau Tiles where I got the tiles from for our en-suite in our loft conversion (check #bodieandfourenovations on Instagram) // Photography: French & Tye

Market Lane Coffee | Sydney

Sharing my life with a kiwi who rates his coffee very highly (I don’t drink coffee), we often brunch around London in nice coffee places like Artisan or The Grind. Both make great coffee and have very interesting interior design details (my life would be complete if they had both more gluten-free and green juices options). Market Lane, in Melbourne combines great coffee, great interior design & styling and cool branding… ✔️ Brick walls painted white or black like in the Vipp flagship store in Copenhagen always look great. ✔️ To make a blackboard for your kitchen, get a piece of medium cut from DIY places like B&Q (but check first if they have any left overs. I got a pretty large piece from left-overs for only £3) and get a pot of blackboard paint or even better this magnetic blackboard paint. ✔️ You can get Tolix industrial stools from John Lewis or this industrial metal stool from BODIE and FOU ✔️ Made of Sundays, a company in Helsinki has some cool wall stickers ✔️ The Shoreditch pendant light (currently 25% off) is very similar to the one above & below Market Lane is now located in …

Depanneur in The Simple Things magazine | Contributor

I had such a great time in Brooklyn, I would go back anytime. Dépanneur, the café François and I photographed in Brooklyn for our series Café Culture with The Simple Things magazine, is one of my favourites… The weather was amazing, Brooklyn flea market is from a walking distance and I really loved the industrial vibe of the place. Plus, the team was very helpful and the sales assistant was very beautiful and adorable.// Photography: François Köng | Styling: Karine Candice Köng |  Want to talk about a project, email [email protected] http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs
