The inspiration for this photoshoot was this photo, which has nothing to do with the result but that’s how inspiration works. A theme, a colour, a person can trigger a whole set of emotions and take your imagination to places it has never been. When I sent the photo to Perrine, she told me she looked nothing like the girl on the photo but she trusted me. We shot at Le Blockhaus. The place was packed and yet it looks like we were the only two people at the bottom of the Dune of Pyla, facing the bay…Photography & Styling: Karine Candice Köng Model: Perrine Fifadji Singer, Dancer & Choregrapher, Perrine will start giving singing lessons in Bordeaux from October 2016. The weather has been totally amazing these last few days in France and if you’re heading to the sun soon or are off to watch Wimbledon, here is the perfect little outfit for you!
Mila told me that next year, they are not allowed to wear ripped denim in College. Good job I’m not going back to school in September. Ripped boyfriend jeans and Stan Smith are kind of my uniform these days…
I’m not sure why but I’m feeling very attracted to nude and soft pink lately, considering I’ve never been a pink person but I find these soft hues very pretty and feminine. Steve is back from his road trip in South America so we are going out tonight to catch up on two weeks of date nights ;-)
Which one is your favourite fashion Designer? The one you always go back to? For me, it’s definitively Isabel Marant. Each year, I try to treat myself to one or two pieces that will fit my style, my lifestyle and body shape or at least, will make me look taller or slimmer like the Dickers boots. I’m on my second pair and they have such the perfect height that they lengthen my calves and make my legs look slimmer. I also love how comfy they are.
I love wearing denim in Summer but today’s look is obviously influenced by my week in Portugal and the beautiful beaches from Grândola. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can follow my visual diary on Instagram. Have a great weekend!
Following your feedback on the reader survey, I’m starting a new feature…well actually re-visiting an one old as the majority of you enjoy these fashion posts and others want more of the Get the Look with prices. The Monday must-have one will be short and sweet, focusing on one thing, one style, one look…not necessarily fashion, sometimes it will be interiors but it will be short, inspiring and uplifting and that’s all we want on a Monday morning. Let me know if you like it…
I’m so out of “the zone” to eat clean and work out since my trip to London for Design Junction that it’s not even funny. So this week’s fashion must-haves, is a hell of a foxy look for you and I to go back into the zone before looking like whales. We can do this!
