Little creative project: Using plywood as a canvas

Little creative project: Creating art with plywood

It’s not secret that I love plywood. These 12 inspiring kitchens are proofs that beautiful things could be achieved with this inexpensive material and I really like how Steve’s office turned out in the tree house with plywood walls. This photo caught my eye because I thought using a piece of plywood was a great and inexpensive little creative project. What do you think? Do you love plywood or hate it? //Photography: Anders Bergstedt

Un mur de galerie monochrome époustouflant

Inspiring monochrome gallery wall

With its monochrome gallery wall, this gorgeous workspace takes wall display to the next level, don’t you think!? This is the studio of the talented Frida Ramstedt where Nina and Susanna recently shot a Christmas campaign. Given how all three have a knack for putting beautiful things together, I’m sure the result will be very nice. Beautifully put together, this collection of black & white picture frames featuring photography and illustration creates a striking visual effect with a real wow factor. If you’re looking for tips, I’ve written an article on how to hang a gallery wall here. I also wrote an article on how to hang picture frames without drilling into your walls here (yes it’s possible!). Have you ever tackled such a big wall display in your home? I have to admit, I never did but should I get to decorate a large wall with high ceilings, this workspace will be my first point of reference. What do you think!? Fancy doing this at home? PS:  I really would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for taking on …

5 things I want right now!

It’s 35 degrees in France. It’s so hot that Steve & Mila had diner at the beach. No wonder why this kid doesn’t want to come back to London! 1/This beautiful Nestor leather bag by Jérôme Dreyffus has been on my wish list for a while (available in black here) 2/This boyfriend shirt from Hush and Denim shorts especially these from Ralph Lauren 3/I love having cosmetics in great packaging and this Fig + Yarrow sea scrub and Buttercream moisturiser are gorgeous 4/Of course, my beloved Isabel Marant Dickers boots which are so comfy that I wear mine with bare feet but if you can’t afford the real thing, these boots from Hush are a great alternative. 5/ and this new Melbourne print from our collection, which is hardly something to take to the beach but I’m re-decorating a house down there and today a few pretty things are heading to the coast and that includes this basket, this lovely marble chopping board and this gorgeous dark grey sofa. Have a fab day

5 things I want right now!

5 things I want right now!

Last year I bought 5 jumpsuits and most of them have been great investment, meaning I wore them weekly each Season (except maybe a black one from Mango which I’ll put on Ebay when I’m back in London). For me, a great investment is based on the cost per wear ratio. Meaning, the cost of the item Vs the number of times I will wear the item. This is how I justify to spend $$$$ on a pair of Dicker ankle boots by Isabel Marant, (which to be honest I wear day in day out during the Summer and have for the past 3 Summers)…and it’s why it’s also good to mix great designer pieces like this Winter coat by Marant, which you are likely to wear a few Winters and things from the high-street or more affordable online brands like Hush, ASOS, Boden or French Connection.
