The Winter coat I swear by

I’m not one to have dozens of winter coats in my wardrobe. To tell you the truth, I get stressed out when I can’t see what is in my wardrobe and it overflows with clothing. If you are like me, read these 15 helpful tips to declutter your home. My Autumn Winter coat capsule includes at the most 5 pieces which already sounds too much… Two Winter coats (the new one & one purchased 2/3 seasons ago), a 10 years-old timeless trench coat from Comptoir des Cotonniers (really loving the style of this Arket trench), a raincoat and now a parka so I can watch Mila surfing in the winter time. SHOP MY FAVOURITE TRENCH COATS THIS SEASON For the past two years, I wore an oversized coat from Monki that I really loved. This season, I fell in love with this belted coat from H&M. Based on the cost per wear (£119.99), it has proven to be a good investment already! Belted coats really enhance your waist and give you that extra confidence in your step. I …

5 Things I want right now! this Popeline blouse & Chloé bag

5 things I want right now!

My friends and I were discussing Chloé bag over the weekend…. One of them was obsessed with the Faye bag. You may have seen the brown version on Lucy Williams’ arm from Fashion me Now. It’s a nice Chloé bag, but personally, I prefer the more boho versions like the Marcie shoulder bag, the Hudson bag with its swishy tassel or even better the Marcie tote (featured above). Since I’m off to Barcelona next week for two days for the launch of a printing product which is going to be very interesting for interior designers and creative people like you, this week’s look is about looking stylish and fashionably sexy in town. So here are the few things I’m obsessed with this week. I’m totally in love with this ruffle poplin blouse (2) I spotted on Happily Grey. The blouse is available at Nordstrom and would look fantastic with these boyfriend jeans or these slim-fit biker trousers. I also love this tie-neck blouse from Mango which is more affordable, different style but it looks great too. This winter coat (1) caught my eyes too but if it’s out of your budget, check out this one under …

5 things I want right now!

5 things I want right now!

Last year I bought 5 jumpsuits and most of them have been great investment, meaning I wore them weekly each Season (except maybe a black one from Mango which I’ll put on Ebay when I’m back in London). For me, a great investment is based on the cost per wear ratio. Meaning, the cost of the item Vs the number of times I will wear the item. This is how I justify to spend $$$$ on a pair of Dicker ankle boots by Isabel Marant, (which to be honest I wear day in day out during the Summer and have for the past 3 Summers)…and it’s why it’s also good to mix great designer pieces like this Winter coat by Marant, which you are likely to wear a few Winters and things from the high-street or more affordable online brands like Hush, ASOS, Boden or French Connection.

Let’s Talk Parka

Well, Autumn has now truly arrived here in the UK (and so has the new Hush collection which looks damn good!) and while I shall miss the India Summer we had until the last few days, the clocks have turned back and it has been pouring rain like there is no tomorrow so I say…let’s make the most of it and get to snuggle up in a lovely parka. What do you think??

I was planning to treat myself with Hush‘s gorgeous parka but Steve recently bought himself a very cool parka from Scotch and Soda and I’m not really into the his and hers look so back to the drawing board. Here are 3 of my favourite coats… I tried this drop-shoulder coat from GAP on Saturday and loved it! It’s a very large fitting but a nice cut to go with my boyfriends jeans. More fitted, the Michelle coat is still one of my favourites. I love the side pockets and worn on skinny jeans and Chelsea boots, it’s a very flattering cut. Another of my favourite is the wide lapel coat from Mango which also comes in camel here and dark grey. Which one do you prefer? SHOP THE POST
